A browser-based map builder built on open-source tools. Runs on OpenLayers and works with GeoServer, PostgreSQL and OGC service.
It is a web‑based map builder that runs on OpenLayers and works with any OGC service. You can add and remove WMS, WMTS, WFS, REST, GeoJSON, and shapefiles, then style and label your vectors, filter layers, open attribute tables, and generate charts—all in the browser. It also includes an export tool that converts your vector layer’s styling into an SLD file, so you can apply the same style to your layers in GeoServer and serve it as WMS or WMTS. The app never uploads your data to the server. Your layers stay wherever you already host them, and you remain fully in control of your own data while Globe handles the map‑building and sharing side.

Build the map in the browser
Using Globe's clean and non confusing interface, you add layers from your own GIS server or GIS REST end point, define each layer's extent, visibility, and transparency, create layer group, order your layer and more. For vector layers, you can style them, filter them, set labels, view their attributes and build stunning charts. Build and save a map and come back to it anytime.
Your data stays yours
Globe does not upload your actual layer files to the server. You keep the data where you already keep it because the app is for building and sharing the map.
You use open servers
Globe is built around classic, widely trusted GIS components—PostgreSQL/PostGIS, GeoServer, and built on powerful OpenLayers. It works with standard OGC services (WMS, WMTS, WFS) and more so you can use the same tools and data sources you already rely on.
Share when you are ready
Accounts and sharing let you give other people an access to the map you built and saved. As a map builder, you can choose the tools that you want to be included with your shared map.
Who this is for
People who need to put a shareable map together in a browser, keep control of their own data, and work with open GIS tools they already know—or want to learn.
That includes a small team sharing one map, or someone who would rather not rebuild the same GIS UI for every project. Globe is still in an early phase, so a list of industries where Globe could be useful will be included here as we progress.
